YUVA SANSAD 2026
Parliamentary democracy was brought to life at T.S. Mishra University as students from across the university came together for YUVA SANSAD 2026, organised by the School of Law on the occasion of Hindi Diwas.
Based on the theme “Education Reforms in India,” the session gave students the opportunity to experience the functioning of a parliamentary house by taking on different roles as members of the Ruling Party and Opposition, along with student-led roles of the Speaker and Executive Members.
The proceedings featured speeches, debate and deliberation, with students presenting their views, responding to opposing arguments and engaging with the subject through research, reasoning and public speaking. The presence of the Judges added an evaluative dimension to the proceedings, encouraging students to bring clarity, confidence and substance to their participation.
The programme was further enriched by addresses from the Pro-Chancellor and Dean, who shared their perspectives with the participants and encouraged them to engage with democratic values and issues of national importance.
From parliamentary roles and formal proceedings to spirited debate and student participation, YUVA SANSAD 2026 created a practical learning experience where students could understand parliamentary procedure while developing leadership, communication, critical thinking, research and debating skills.
