The M.Sc. in Forensic Science program provides a strong foundation in the criminal justice system and its scientific principles through a structured and integrated curriculum. It emphasizes the legal framework, principles of evidence, and their application in criminal investigations.

The program focuses on scientific rigor, critical thinking, and hands-on laboratory training, covering key forensic techniques such as microscopy, toxicological and chemical analysis, molecular biology, forensic anthropology, human identification, DNA profiling, and next-generation sequencing (NGS). With an emphasis on ethical and unbiased evidence analysis, the course integrates theory, laboratory work, and case-based learning to prepare students for real-world forensic practice

Duration: 2 years

Eligibility: M.Sc. Forensic Science: - Bachelor’s degree in science/ Forensic Science/ Medicine / Engineering / Pharmacy with at least 55% for General/OBC (NCL)/EWS category candidates, and 50% or equivalent for SC/ST and PwD category candidates.
